Riley Blake Challenge – If you signed up for the Riley Blake Challenge, Ashley will receive the fabric and hand it out at the next meeting.
Libs Elliott – Our April 11 meeting will be at the Clintonville Women’s Club where Libs Elliott will give a lecture and trunk show. Doors open at 6PM. Appetizers and beverages will be available. Libs’ presentation begins at 7:00. The session is free for COMQG members and $10 for non-members.
Retreat – This year’s retreat has been moved back to November. It’s a good news/bad news situation. Bad news is that the location in Zoar where the 2018 retreat was held isn’t hosting retreats this year. Good news is that by acting quickly, the guild was able to get our deposits back and apply them to a location in Millersburg, Ohio AND it holds more people than the Zoar location. Thanks to Nadia and Randa for all the hard work on finding another location. Keep an eye out for an email from them with more details.
Revised by-laws are in draft and will be presented at the May meeting for a vote.
Fund Raising – Hand in any blocks that have been completed. The rest of the blocks are due in April. There will be a sew-in on April 28 where people can help with the quilt or work on their own projects (I’m sure Lissa wouldn’t mind if some people wanted to work on placemats either!).
Charity – There was a sew-in on March 9. Kits were assembled for placemats. See Lissa if you want one (or many!).
Mug Rug Swap – Randa handed out the names of our Swap partners. The mug rugs are due at the April meeting. Contact Randa with any questions.
Color Challenge – Sonia won the blocks! We’re sure to see her do something awesome with them.
Guild Quilting Bee – Laura was March Queen Bee and received many of her blocks. Donna S. is the April Queen and has asked for small Raspberry Kiss blocks. Details can be found on our COMQG web site.
Sewing Room Savvy – Barb gave a riveting presentation on ergonomics in the sewing room.
