Junior League Columbus would like to receive the donation of our 2018 Charity Quilt for their silent auction at their Kelton House Gala this June. Proceeds will benefit the Kelton House Museum. Membership recommended that we provide information about the quilt for display at the time of the auction. Info. to include 100% cotton, type of batting, washing instructions, value. The guild voted on the donation and it passed. Thanks for all the work on that, Kate!

Keep an eye out for an email from Marah about a meal train for Kelsey. It will be a great way to show our love and support of our friend and her family.
The fundraising quilt has been pieced. First prize: the quilt; Second prize: awesome Embrace the Chaos wall hanging (Libs Elliott’s design completed by Marah); Third prize: Ashley will donate a hand crafted tote bag.
Guild meet up 7 PM on May 23 at High Bank Distillery Co. Enjoy a beverage and bring your hand sewing to amaze the patrons at the venue.
Quilt Retreat – Randa will be sending out an email with more info on the retreat. Couple spaces are open for COMQG members. Remember – it’s now November 14-17.

Lissa still has 5-6 new bolts of fabric from the Jo-Ann project. Think about what we should do with it or who we could contribute it to (4-H??).

State Fair update from Cassandra: COMQG is co-sponsoring the modern category. Fair volunteers receive a parking pass and free admission to the fair.

July 14 – Beginning at 9:30 AM if you want to help the judging you’ll have the opportunity to show the quilts to the judges and learn exactly what it is that judges look for.
