May 2019 Meeting Minutes

Ashley shared basic benefits of the MQG web site with its new format. Lots of good info including links to webinars.

Junior League Columbus would like to receive the donation of our 2018 Charity Quilt for their silent auction at their Kelton House Gala this June. Proceeds will benefit the Kelton House Museum. Membership recommended that we provide information about the quilt for display at the time of the auction. Info. to include 100% cotton, type of batting, washing instructions, value. The guild voted on the donation and it passed. Thanks for all the work on that, Kate!

By-law edits were reviewed and passed. Plan is to post them on the website.

Keep an eye out for an email from Marah about a meal train for Kelsey. It will be a great way to show our love and support of our friend and her family.

The fundraising quilt has been pieced. First prize: the quilt;  Second prize: awesome Embrace the Chaos wall hanging (Libs Elliott’s design completed by Marah); Third prize: Ashley will donate a hand crafted tote bag.

Quilt Retreat – Randa will be sending out an email with more info on the retreat. Couple spaces are open for COMQG members. Remember – it’s now November 14-17.
