Chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild

Members present:  Dorothy M, Susie Fabro, Trish J, Susi Mackesy, Emily church, Hazel Church, Susan Shuter, Linda Selby, Jo Miller, Nancy Donley, Liz Webster, Brooke Sackenheim, Jen Hershner, Jodi Frisby, Clara Sobczak

*2026 Dues are $55.  Jennifer has set up a zeffy account to take credit cards if needed without additional fees.  Paying by cash or check or Zeffy do not cost the guild.  If paying by Paypal, please strongly consider adding the $1.65 for paypal fees.

Melissa is looking into an inexpensive phone for the guild to be able to associate  with payment systems instead of having a member’s personal information associated with the guild account.

The new board members were announced.

The drawing for MVOB raffle quilt will be at the January 8 meeting.  A person earns 1 ticket for each quilt they made or assisted with.  The quilts will be delivered to MVOB on January 10, 2026.  All members are welcome to participate in dropping them off.  Final details will be shared at the next meeting.

Team Rafiki   Susie still has sanitary pad kits available if you would like to make them for her to take on her trip.  She is still collecting sewing supplies such as needles, pins and sew in interfacing.

*Treasury report   Balance in early October 2025 was $5231.59 and we had $472.50 in income and $2561.92 in expenses.  The resulting balance at the end of November 2025 was $3142.17

*Programming  January will be a presentation by Sallie Tomato

*February will be a presentation by Linda Selby on labeling your quilts

*March 14, 2026 will be National Quilt Dat at Sue Spargo’s with the NE Ohio guild.  The class will be $30 and lunch will be $15

The potluck and greedy gift exchange rounded out the meeting.
