COMQG monthly meeting

The meeting was called to order and Dorothy led an ice breaker.
2026 dues are $55. Payment can be made via the Zeffy link on our website, cash, check or Pay Pal. If using Pay Pal, please consider adding 3% ($1.65) to the total to cover the guild’s PP fees.
Reminder that the Fundraising Chair position is still open. If interested, please reach out to any board member.
The next board meeting, to which all are welcome, will be January 25, 2026, 2 PM at Trish Jacquemin’s house. Her address is 216 West Hull Dr Delaware Oh 43015
The next meeting will be February 12, 2026, at the Dublin library at 6:30 PM. Linda Selby will be presenting on labeling your quilts.
Reminder that the 1st Thursday of the month, a handwork group meet at 10 AM at Kathy Faust’s house. All are welcome.
Treasurer’s report: We started with a previous balance of $3142.17. We had $456 in income and $68.71 in expenses. Ending balance of $3529.46
Sixteen quilts are ready to donate to My Very Own Blanket. Last chance given for people to buy additional raffle tickets to the guild quilt that was made years ago and has been residing in various member’s closets! Trish Jacquemin, who long armed the quilts, therefore earning more tickets, won the quilt. If you would like to attend the quilt dropoff, it will be at 10 AM Saturday, January 10, 2026. Meet up information will be sent.
Programming: Libby and Brooke requested a programming budget of $1200.
Linda Selby made the motion that the guild provide $1200 for the programming budget for the upcoming year.
Dorothy seconded the motion, and it was pass unanimously
Libbi and Brooke provided handouts concerning the upcoming events. These are available on our guild drive or from Libbi if needed.
National Quilt Day event will be held with the NE Ohio MQG on March 14, 2026, at Sue Spargo’s store. The cost is $60 for members and $70 for nonmembers. There is also an optional needle book swap and potential pattern links will be sent to members.
The annual COMQG retreat will be at the same place as other years and will be $70 each. It will be held on November 8-11, 2026
Guid challenge information:
The quilts are due at the September meeting. Pick any book, read page 32 and make a quilt related to that page. The second option is to take one of your works in progress that you just can’t finish or don’t like and redevelop it.
