President Marah Light called the meeting to order at 7:18 pm in the project room, Quilt Beginnings, Dublin Ohio.
Marah welcomed all members and guests. She presented the completed Charity Quilt that is being sent to Quilt Con. She thanked all who worked on the quilt.
There will be a bag making workshop with Mary on Saturday, March 14th at Northern Lights Library, Meeting Room 1. Members are encouraged to look on the website and complete the survey to secure a spot and vote on one of the bag choices to be offered.
Members were asked to consider volunteering for the fundraising position. Please let Marah know if you are interested.
The Kona and Pantone colors challenges were announced. Kona color is “Enchanted”, an emerald green tone and Pantone is a classic blue, a saturated mid-level blue tone. Members are asked to combine both colors in a project of their choice (mini quilt, bag, etc.) and bring it to the March meeting.
There will be a sew- in February 15th at the Dublin Library, 9-5pm.
If you would like to participate in a name tag swap, please notify Marah. Name tags will be swapped at the April meeting. After the April meeting we will be having random raffles to win small prizes. If you wear your name tag, you will be entered to win prizes.
Members were reminded that dues are due by the February meeting. Dues are $35 and can be paid by check, cash or paypal@email@example.com. If you are paying via paypal please label your payment “2020 dues, name” and select the friends and family option.
Members voted to choose a backpack project for the 2020 charity project. Members will make backpacks for approximately 210 children who will be attending Camp Kasem, a camp for children 6-18 for children with parents who have cancer. More details at the next meeting.
A motion was made and passed to continue support as a sponsor for the Modern Quilt Category at the Ohio State Fair.
The guild is exploring several options for guild retreats. One option suggested would be a daytime retreat at Quilt Beginnings.
The February guild meeting will be Thursday February 13th, Hilliard Library, 4500 Hickory Chase Way, meeting room 2A at 6-830 pm.

Program this month was presented by Quilt Beginnings. Accuquilt is a system for cutting material into shapes and strips for different projects. Thank you Cathy Daum and Joyce at Quilt Beginnings for hosting our meeting.
Next meeting with have a demo on how to post to Instagram. Members are asked to bring a photo they would like to post in order to participate in the demo. A demo on how to use Google drive will also offered.
