QuiltCon 2023. The Community Quilt theme is “Gradient Colors”. We discussed making 2 of the community outreach quilt design in different color ways. One would be entered and sold at QuiltCon and the other would be raffled at the 3/18 luncheon. Please start thinking of design ideas for a guild entry. The QuiltCon class schedule comes out in June. Barb motioned that we buy the liability insurance for the full year noting that it will cover all of our activities throughout the year. Kate seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Treasurer Report:

Barb motioned we open a Venmo account so buyers can scan a QR code to make purchases easily. Kate seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously.

Secretary’s report:

Once a design is selected, it will be converted into a pattern. The goal is to have the quilt completed by 7/29. There will be sew-ins at the Dublin Library on 6/25 and 7/9 for members to work on completing the quilt together. Raffle tickets will be sold for an early December drawing. We are calling for volunteers to make additional 2nd & 3rd prizes for the raffle. Please let Patty know if you are willing to make something for a secondary prize. Also discussed having the raffle quilt appraised once it is completed.

National Quilt Day luncheon March 18, 2023 will be held at the Franklin Park Conservatory. The Conservatory is renting their space for a discounted rate of $1250 for the day. This price will include admission to the conservatory for all attendees. Patty motioned that we approve the $650 down payment to reserve the date and Kate seconded. The motion passed unanimously. We will extend an invitation to other guilds and quilters. We’d like to have save the date cards made in time to pass out at the Ohio State Fair as well as local quilt shops.
